I believe part of the reasons we have so much travel accepting Eleven is because it was not only a new doctor but also a complete different series. Eleven is starting to grow in me, but for example the rest of the characters and the story not. RTD's universe was easy to fall in love with. Moffat's not (at least for me). In my opinion his characters, like Amy, are hollow, basic and pretty much an stereotype. Plus, the change of morals. I think it's not just letting David go, but also RTDverse.

Jenna and I completely agree with you…Personally, some of my favorite NuWho episodes are Moffat’s specials so I was really looking forward to him taking over for RTD, but now I’m not so sure.

A Good Man goes to War was such a great build up…but the second half of series 6 (culminating in The Wedding of River Song) felt like a broken promise.

But that is just one Mods opinion…

Actually, that’s the second Mod’s opinion, too; Addie just put it into words better than I could.

I am relatively new to the Whovian Universe. Like spanking new. I watched “Rose” for the first time late last July. Since then I have seen every episode of Who ever aired; from Hartnell to Smith. Yes, I did like Blink, and the Vashta Nerada are my favorite “monsters.” But I am not a fan of Moffat’s full seasons.

I think Matt finally stepped into the Doctor’s shoes, for me, during the newest Christmas special. He was more human. You really got to see how he is embracing humanity instead of seeing humans (ie The Ponds) as his shiny toys.
