What is your favorite episode - so far - in Series 7?

What is your favorite episode in Series 7?

Please don't post any new rules from the newest season because a lot of us can't watch it until the DVDs come out, and it is spoiling the episodes for us.

Some folks have asked me not to post any more rules from 7.2, and as much as I want to do it, I will respect their wishes. We have two more weeks until the season will be over, and then I will be posting rules from season 7.2.

I know this is a Doctor Who page, but you seem cool enough to understand the significance of this; HAPPY INTERGALACTIC STAR WARS DAY!

Doctor Who Announces All-Star Cast for 50th Anniversary

Ahead of tonight’s premiere, Doctor Who has today revealed some of the all-star cast that will mark the 50th anniversary. David Tennant and Billie Piper will join current Doctor and companion, Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, while John Hurt (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Alien, Harry Potter) will also co-star.

Last seen as the Doctor on January 1st 2010, this will be the first time Tennant has reprised his role as the Tenth Doctor. During his reign as the Time Lord, Tennant appeared in three series as well as several specials. He was first revealed as the Doctor in the 2005 series finale, ‘The Parting of the Ways’.

Meanwhile Billie Piper, who played companion Rose Tyler for two series following the reboot in 2005, will appear in the show for the first time since featuring in Tennant’s last episode, ‘The End of Time’ in 2010.

Also confirmed to join the cast is John Hurt who will also co-star in the 3D anniversary special that will form part of blockbuster celebrations later this year.

The 50th anniversary will be written by Steven Moffat and Directed by Nick Hurran.

Filming for the 50th anniversary starts this week. Meanwhile Doctor Who returns tonight on BBC America (March 30, 8/7c), BBC One (30 Mar, 6:15pm), SPACE Channel (March 30, 8e/5p), and ABCTV (March 31, 7.30p) for a run of eight epic episodes, which officially introduces the Doctor’s newest companion, Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.

I can’t tell you how excited I am that David and Billie being back on DW is now a legit claim to the 50th Anniversary Show. To me, the Doctor and Rose are the perfect Doctor/Companion duo. Rose was just able to remind the Doctor that he does have real emotions; and it shows.

I am excited to see how Ten, Eleven, Rose, and Clara interact with each other, and I really hope that the four have a great cinematic chemistry.

I have made it one of my life’s goals to meet all the surviving Doctors from Doctor Who. Last September, at Dragon*Con, I met Sylvester McCoy; however, the photo attached is of a different Doctor. That’s right, fellow Whovians! That is me with 5th Doctor Peter Davison at Mysticon 2013 last weekend.

I was very fortunate to have met him, and got to sit in the panel where he answered some very important questions: does he know anything about the 50th anniversary, who he feels is the best companion in all of DW, and what it’s like having David Tennant as a son-in-law. This officially makes my six-degrees-of-separation-from-David-Tennant marginally smaller now, you think?
